External hosting

This website is hosted externally. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the host(s). This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.

External hosting is carried out for the purpose of contract fulfilment towards our potential and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Ltd., 65 Chulia Street #38-02/03, OCBC Centre, Singapore 049513. When the data is retrieved, your IP address is transmitted to Supabase for technical reasons. The event data itself does not contain any personal data about you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Supabase. Insofar as personal data is transferred to a third country (USA), this is done on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses or a certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or withdraw consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion takes place once these reasons cease to apply.

General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website

If you have consented to the data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, insofar as special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed. In the case of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data insofar as this is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You will be informed about the legal bases relevant in each individual case in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

Recipients of personal data

In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. In some cases, the transmission of personal data to these external parties is also required. We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is necessary within the scope of contract fulfilment, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. passing on data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the transfer of data. When using processors, we only pass on personal data of our customers on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent that has already been given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH ANY PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ASSERTION, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged breach. This right to complain exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

The supervisory authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI), Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, datenschutz.hessen.de.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Information, correction and deletion

Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases: If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion. If we no longer need your personal data but you need it to assert, defend or exercise legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion. If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Enquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this was requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time.

The data you send us via contact requests remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for the data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Location data (geolocation)

On our homepage you can optionally share your device location in order to display events near you on the map. Access to your location takes place exclusively after your explicit authorisation via a toggle (disabled by default) and your browser's location function. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). Your exact coordinates stay in your browser, where they centre the map and measure the distance to events. To look up events nearby, only an area of about 1 km around your position is sent to our database provider (Supabase); for the optional place search, an area of about 10 km, which our server passes on to the place search service (see below). We do not store this information. You can withdraw the authorisation at any time via the toggle or in your browser's settings. Alternatively, you can search for a place by name or select a city from the list, without sharing your location.

Place search

In the location dialogue you can find a city or district by typing its name. Your input is sent to our own server, which queries the geocoding service Photon on your behalf and returns the results to you. Your browser does not connect to the geocoding service directly; that service therefore receives neither your IP address nor any details about your browser, but only the search text itself. If you have already enabled location sharing, a coarse position rounded to approximately 10 km is transmitted alongside it so that nearby places rank higher; your precise position is never transmitted. We do not store or analyse your search queries, and we do not pass them to any analytics service. Like any web request, a search may appear transiently in our hosting provider's server logs and is deleted with them. The search is limited to place names (cities, districts, localities) and deliberately returns no streets or house numbers.

Photon is operated by komoot GmbH, Kienberger Allee 4, 12529 Schoenefeld, Germany, and is based on data from OpenStreetMap, provided under the Open Database License (ODbL); © OpenStreetMap contributors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning place search (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Analytics with Umami Cloud

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Umami Software, Inc. (USA), to analyse how this website is used. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in designing our offering to meet actual demand).

No cookies, no identifiers on your device
Umami sets no cookies and stores no identifiers on your device. The only thing read from your browser's local storage is the opt-out key "umami.disabled", if you have set it yourself.

How visits are distinguished
To distinguish visits, a hash is generated on the server from your IP address, user agent and a secret salt; it changes daily. Your IP address is processed only transiently and is not stored. The hash cannot be traced back to an identifiable person and is replaced after 24 hours. No cross-device tracking takes place.

Data collected
Pages viewed and page titles, time on page, referrer, browser language, screen resolution, browser, operating system and device type, and the approximate region derived from your IP address. In addition, a few events without personal content: the kind of place picked in the location search (for example city or venue, not the place itself), and how long the map took to load, as a coarse range (for example "under 1 second").

Delivery and recipients
The analytics script is served from our own domain. The measurement data is sent directly from your browser to gateway.umami.is. Analytics data is processed in Umami Cloud's EU region (Frankfurt). The provider is Umami Software, Inc., a US company. By accepting Umami's terms of service we entered into their Data Processing Addendum under Art. 28 GDPR, which is incorporated by reference and requires no separate signature. Transfers to third countries are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914) under Art. 46 GDPR. Umami publishes its sub-processors at https://umami.is/subprocessors.

Objection
You may object to this analytics at any time under Art. 21 GDPR. We respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting — when it is enabled, the analytics script is not loaded. Alternatively, set the key "umami.disabled" to the value 1 in this website's local storage.

No consent required
Because no cookies or comparable technologies within the meaning of Section 25 TDDDG that would require consent are used, this analytics runs without consent.

Affiliate programme (Awin / ADticket)

We participate in partner programmes (affiliate marketing). On our website we embed advertising links to the websites of ticket providers (in particular ADticket / Reservix), brokered through the affiliate network of Awin AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany. If you click on such an affiliate link and subsequently conclude a transaction with the provider (e.g. a ticket purchase), we may receive a commission. This incurs no additional cost to you.

In order to track the referral and correctly attribute the commission, Awin sets a cookie (or comparable technologies) on your device when you click an affiliate link. In doing so it processes, among other things, a click/tracking ID, the time of the click, the page accessed and technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type). This data is used solely to settle the commission and is not used to personally identify you.

The storage of the cookie or access to information on your device takes place only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG). The subsequent processing of the data for settlement purposes is based on our legitimate interest in the remuneration of brokered sales (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Responsible for the tracking within the affiliate network is Awin AG. Further information on data processing by Awin and options to object can be found in Awin's privacy policy at https://www.awin.com/gb/privacy. Insofar as personal data is transferred to a third country, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses).

6. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. Further data is not collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw the consent given for the storage of the data, the email address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data you have deposited with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or after the purpose ceases to apply. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist, insofar as this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used only for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

Newsletter service provider (Brevo)

Our newsletter is sent via the service provider Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin (subsidiary of Brevo SAS, 17 rue de Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France). Your registration data (email address) is stored and processed on Brevo's servers within the European Union. Registration takes place using the double opt-in procedure: after your registration, you receive a confirmation email whose link you click to confirm. To prove your consent, we log the time of registration and confirmation as well as your IP address. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Brevo.

7. Plugins and Tools

Map (OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap)

The map shows data from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License), prepared in the OpenMapTiles format (© OpenMapTiles), and from Natural Earth. When the map is zoomed out, and around the largest cities, the map tiles are delivered from our own server; your IP address is not transmitted to any third party in the process.

For other areas and close-up views, the map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org; operator: Hyperknot Software Kft., Hungary). Your browser then transmits your IP address to OpenFreeMap. According to OpenFreeMap's privacy notice, its access logs record the referring page, browser and operating system and are deleted after 7 days; IP addresses are only logged in error logs or during incidents, for at most 30 days. A content delivery network (Cloudflare) may operate in front of the service. If OpenFreeMap is unavailable, the map temporarily loads its tiles from CARTO (basemaps.cartocdn.com; operator CARTO / Location Technologies) instead, which then receives your IP address. No cookies are set.

The use of the map is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings and easy findability of the places we specify on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Map libraries Leaflet and protomaps-leaflet

To display the map we use the open source libraries Leaflet and protomaps-leaflet. They are served from our own server; your IP address is not transmitted to any third party in the process.

Route guidance to event venues

If you call up directions to a displayed event, the destination address is passed to an external map service (Apple Maps or Google Maps) and opened there. This request is made at your instigation. The processing of your data in these services is subject to the privacy policies of Apple (Apple Inc.) and Google (Google Ireland Ltd.).
